The art in getting more things done in less time
Here is a list of tools that helped me cut my daily work time down from 15 hours a day to two hours (often less)
www.e.ggtimer.com (This is a online timer I use for keeping my work time under control)
www.rapportive.com ( gmail add on that lets you add Facebook, twitter & linked in contacts with gmail)
I always make sure I spend NO longer than 50 minutes at any one time on my laptop. I find that is optimal time frame for productivity. Then I have a 10 minute total break, this is when I stretch, drink water etc, easy read or perhaps lay down. I even set an alarm to time my 50 minute & 10 minute blocks. When I am in work zone I turn off phones, all forms of messaging, this way I can think clear. One book I read said if we are distracted it take 20 minutes to get back to the same level of concentration , another study says when we multi task our IQ levels can be less that someone who are high on weed !
It is extremely important to be 100% where you are e.g. when you work 100% work, when you are relaxing or with friends be 100% there.
For me I find i think better sitting on the beach or in a park…ideas just seem the flow that way. I always make a note of my ideas and then batch them in relevant projects.
Anyway, I will share more ideas on being more in less time soon
